We handle it every single day. We pull it out of our wallets, pass it across counters, and slide it into vending machines. But few of us ever stop to really look at the back of a one-dollar bill.

If you flip it over, you are looking directly at the Great Seal of the United States [The Great Seal of the United States]. It is not just a piece of government graphic design. It is a highly deliberate, deeply prayerful, and visually mystical anchor of power


When our cousins Thomas Jefferson and John Adams sat down with Benjamin Franklin on July 4, 1776, to design this seal, they weren’t just creating a logo for a new country [The Great Seal of the United States]. Suspended above the pyramid is the Latin phrase Annuit Coeptis, meaning "He has favored our undertakings." The Founders were openly declaring that the birth of American liberty was not a mere political accident, but a project watched over and blessed by God

Above the eagle's head sits a cloud breaking away to reveal a radiant constellation of thirteen stars, forming a hexagram—an ancient geometric symbol of harmony between the earthly and the divine


An Echo in Our DNA
